Remembering Someone Special

A Hospice of St Francis Tribute Page is an online space for memories of your loved one to thrive. Celebrate their life and share precious stories, photographs, and videos. Take comfort in the fact that your treasured memories can be kept safe in your own little corner of the internet. You can share the page with family and friends, and as time passes the page will grow into a beautiful collection of personal tributes.

How your page helps

Create a lasting legacy for your loved one by fundraising in their name. Collect donations securely on your tribute page and allow us to provide a hand in the darkness for more local people. It costs £5 million a year to provide our care, and each contribution made in your loved ones name will help continue our care for other local families.

About The Hospice of St Francis, Berkhamsted

Philip Warr’s Tribute Page

Philip
“My brother Philip was in The Hospice of St Francis for just one night. Most of the staff hadn’t met him before. Yet the compassion they showed during his all-too short stay was exceptional. We never felt he was just a number in a bed or an item on someone’s to-do list. In fact, their big-hearted care extended to all his relatives and friends who kept vigil through that last, painful day.

Collecting money for the staff and work of the Hospice seemed a natural response. It gave us perhaps a sense of purpose in those early lost days, while the kind words people left with every donation were so touching. In the end, we raised over £3,500, topped up by some £600 of gift aid. I find it comforting to think that ten more people and their families can now receive the kind of support we did with Philip” Simon Warr

What we do

The Hospice of St Francis helps 2,000 local people and their families to live their precious lives well through improving symptoms, achieving personal goals and helping them to feel safe.

Defined by each person’s need, our free care for people managing, or recovering from, serious illness has many forms – care at the Hospice, at home, or in our health and wellbeing Spring Centre which offers courses, workshops, clinics and therapies.
