Collecting money for the staff and work of the Hospice seemed a natural response. It gave us perhaps a sense of purpose in those early lost days, while the kind words people left with every donation were so touching. In the end, we raised over £3,500, topped up by some £600 of gift aid. Defined by each person’s need, our free care for people managing, or recovering from, serious illness has many forms – care at the Hospice, at home, or in our health and wellbeing Spring Centre which offers courses, workshops, clinics and therapies.
